Prince Gumball (previously known as Prince Blowpop) is the gender swapped version of Princess Bubblegum originally created by series current designer Natasha Allegri. After the gender-swapped characters were introduced in series of drawings and comics, the creators of Adventure Time decided to include them in an upcoming episode in season 3. Like Princess Bubblegum, Prince Gumball also has his own loyal companion, Lord Monochromicorn, whose color scheme is monochromatic while his counterpart, Lady Rainicorn is multichromatic.

He has the same color scheme as his Princess Bubblegum, He has Pink skin and his hair is somewhat in a quiff. His head adorned with a small golden crown with a blue jewel. He wears a hot pink shirt with orangish-pink puffed sleeves with magenta stripes & under-sleeves, a large matching collar with a gold circle with a small blue jewel on it; he has a belt with another gold circle and a small blue jewel design on the buckle, pinkish-purple striped trousers, and purple shoes.

  • His name was changed from "Prince Blowpop" to "Prince Gumball" because "Blow Pop" is a brand name.[1]
  • On Twitter, Pen asked Neil Patrick Harris to voice Prince Gumball, and he was later confirmed to have recorded the part. Harris is notable for his leading roles on the TV shows "Doogie Howser, M.D." and "How I Met Your Mother", as well as the notable website "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog".
  • He and Lumpy Space Prince are currently the only two confirmed Princes to appear in the show.
